Could this really happen?
We're not draining any pools in NE Texas right now.
This Will Drain My Account!
http://dailyconfession.com/display.asp?CID=62409 My neighbor and I prank each other as way of expressing our purely platonic affection for one another. Our schemes have become rather elaborate in the past. For three months now, it's been my ''up''. He got me last and knew I was going to get him back. He left for vacation five days ago. I completely drained his pool. Bone dry. I was going to paint (as best I could) a naked Mona Lisa on the bottom and refill the pool. I don't own a pool and had no idea that in Florida, with a very shallow water table, if you drain a pool, it could actually pop up from the hole in which it was built. I confess that this is one prank that will cost me. His pool is literally two feet higher that the surrounding deck that it broke away from. I have started getting bids and there is no fixing it. It has to be removed ($$$) and a new one built in its place ($$$$$$$!!!!!) The pool company said that if the pool had sustained a broken drain pipe while the owner was away for an extended time, it is possible that: A] It could happen B] It might be covered by insurance. I just can''t wait for him to get home! It would have been the best prank ever if not for this little snafu.
