We had a typical day Memorial Day.
My wife works nights so baby Joe and I,
stopped by a pool party. It was crowded,
and I had no bug repellant. Joe has several
large "bites". One near his eye and another ,
now oozing bite on his leg. So we left early.

Memorial Day is the day to remember and honor
the soldiers that die and have died for the service ,
to the United States of America.
This is bullshit.
The vast majority of human beings have died in
wars for not a "noble cause" , but to protect
the interests of American corporations.
I don't fall into that crap of "thanking the soldiers for
their service" I say I am sorry that you are serving the
U.S. in this time of unnecessary and illegal occupations
of two countries that cannot have in any way threatened
the U.S. A.
I have just read Cindy Sheehan's book "Peace Mom",
Cindy is a true American hero, I have met Cindy Sheehan,
at Camp Casey and in Washington D.C. at 2 important
protests in our recent history.
Just a bug bites my precious little Joe and I am angry,
My son will not die in a war for the lies of the likes of
Bush, Cheney and these murderous evil corporate fascists,
that govern our country.
We Americans have to
end useless and criminal killing of innocent people.
One book I will read soon is :
WAR IS A RACKET - Major General Smedley D. Butler - USMC Retired

Today was a really mild spring-like day.
It would have been perfect for a day in the park,
just Dad and Champ playing in the park will
have to wait 'til another day.

My wife has a severe cold, she has missed 2 days
work and baby Joe has thrown up 5 times. I just
today cleaned dark chocolate vomit out of the carpet.
Joe loves chocolate covered pomegranetes from Costco.
No more chocolate Joe.

He is coughing so much he
vomits, otherwise he is strong and healthy and no fever.
We joined"the Little Gym" . I will post and tell more later.

My son Joe loves to laugh. He sat on my lap and
we looked at his favorite book. He loves cars, and books.
His favorite book has all pictures and he asks "zat?"
For what's that? He points to a page of animals. He points
to each animal several times and says "zat?" So
every time he points to a goose, and he says, "zat?".
I goose him in his side and i say "goose".Joe laughed,
and laughed and we both laughed and he knew what was
coming , but he still managed to say through the laughter
"zat?", each time he got goosed.

So if laughter is the best medicine, Joe gets a healthy dose,
every day. He is very healthy boy.

I just received over 100 free
hardback books!

What a great way to begin to give up the t.v. habit.
As a benefit for city employees my wife came and
picked me and baby Joe up to go to a Fort Worth
library outlet to pick out any amount of free books
we wanted. We got some great novels and a good
selection of political books, and some books on CD.
These were all in excellent condition, and totally free
of all charges.
So now I have itunes to download the only shows I
give a hoot about for free. I can connect these ipod
shows to the tv screen. I watch Olbermanns Countdown,
and Rachel Maddows shows free on ipod. I listen to
Thom Hartmann, and Mike Malloy , for a small fee.
Tracey Ullman's and Bill Maher's shows are free on Itunes.
Mostly I can watch or listen to Democracy Now and listen
to the Limbaugh Lie of the day, Best of the Left, Free-
thought radio, Go Vegan and learn Spanish to boot.

Here are some ways to give up the $100 per month
satellite/cable bill :

You Are What You Eat

by Vi Ransel

Agribusiness.
Confined Animal Feeding Operations -
CAFOs.  Concentration camps.

It takes hormones, antibiotics,
pesticides, herbicides, fungicides,
contaminated fellow-inmates' bodies,

2500 gallons of water, 16 pounds of grain,
tons of ground water-contaminating,
excrement-slurry containing

climate changing methane,
and slashing and burning the rain
forest-lungs of the planet to produce
one pound of succulent, lust-inducing
flesh on the hoof.

Torture.  Terror.  Conscious-as-slaughtered
in Merchants of Murders' filthy processing-abattoirs.

Incompletely stunned by mechanical bolts.
Hung by one leg upside down on metal hooks.

Slashed.  Stabbed.  Crying.  Alive.
Skin stripped from warm bodies
pleading, wild-eyed.

Screaming.  Contorted.  Moaning.
Gurgling.  Drowning in blood.
Suffocating.  Groaning

in incomprehensible horror at the betrayal
and the incredible pain.

Disemboweled.  Dismembered.
Re-assembled in white foam trays.

Injected with red dyes.
Parts wrapped in plastic.
Unrecognizable as life.

Be careful!

Putting meat in your mouth makes you an accessory
after the fact, an accomplice, a party to conspiracy

to commit pre-meditated murder for the venal pleasure
of ingesting the flesh of your victim.

You are guilty of the rape of the earth-environment
which makes your own, and all life possible.
You are not only fratricidal, but matricidal,
ecocidal and suicidal, dangerously in denial,

certifiable, a maniacal, omnicidal menace
not only to yourself and other animals,
but all of the life on the planet.

Your lust
for the holocaust of charred flesh,
the dismembered carcasses
of your brother victims-by-proxy,
rotting as your mash morsels of murder
into your ravening maw
is an addiction, a compulsion - necrophagia.

Eating the dead will be the death of you,
your children and the rest of us, too.

You are what you eat.

Be careful
what you put into
your mouth.
