Not much walking since Monday.

We have had colds with flu-like

symptoms. My wife and son have not

had it as bad as I. Mostly colds last

7 days or more. Feeling much better

and the outdoor temperature is above

70 during the day. We have a lot of

work to catch up on before baby Joe's

first trip to S.C. Get out and walk, I feel

better for it. I can remember being a heavy

smoker nearly 10 years ago. A cold would last

months and a cough would be a part of life.

I had nothing against pot smoking, other

than it being highly illegal. I knew people who

smoked pot often, several times day and night.

I could not imagine holding in a lung full of any

smoke without coughing violently. I am happy

my wife does not smoke and drinks very little.

We mostly drink daily a glass of wine.

My wife likes Agave_Wine We are not in the habit

of heavy drinking. The only thing we really have

to work on is heavy eating.

Think of food and how much and how often.

Think of a baby and his primitive need to eat every

2 hours. So healthy snacks seem to work  for me,

to try to prevent eating huge meals.

We rarely have meat in the house, I never eat meat.

Meat is unhealthy and contains hormones,

anti-biotics, nitrites and more. If you can eat a cow

off of your own land, I might feel differently about meat.

The impact on the environment, should be of greatest

concern. Go vegan! Every meal eat vegan, try it, you can do it!

Walk, walk, walk as if your life depends on it. It does.

Today we walked 2 miles in the park.

We walked 3.5 miles yesterday.

The best times to walk are when shoppers are

not going and coming from school or work.

I talk to and sing to my baby boy in his stroller

as we walk. We talk to anyone we can as

we stroll along. My son is extremely popular

at the mall. I have mostly women commenting

how cute our champ is. We are for certain proud

parents. We talk everyday about our future plans

with our baby boy. One day soon we are playing

tennis, we plan on our son becoming a tennis champ.

We don't like video games or tv in general for kids.

So we plan on having an active outdoor life. Today

being outside was easy. Temps were near 90 degrees

here in Northeast Texas. Wow! had the a.c.on for the

first time. More walking tomorrow at the mall.

Politics is of  great interest to me,
and my wife.  Now more than ever in
this election year of 2008
The news of scandals and money and sex
with lobbyists can only happen here.

You have to look at John McCain and wonder where
did you see this old geezer before? I think he looks like
Wilbur Finch the shoe salesman from the Andy Griffith Show. From the show Those Gossipin' Men

Here is what  David Letterman said.
from The Week's Best Late-Night Jokes

"How about that John McCain, though? He looks like the guy in front of you at the movies whose wife has to repeat everything, doesn't he a little bit? He looks like the guy who backed over his own mailbox. He looks like the guy whose sweater is always misbuttoned - you know that guy? He looks like the guy that always tells you he's 72 years young. He looks like the guy who's bragged that oatmeal has lowered his cholesterol." --David Letterman (Read more of Letterman's McCain riffs)

Who does McCain look like to you? Capt.Queeg ? or how about  Boo_Radley ?

Today is the 50th anniversary of the

Peace symbol

Not many peace signs are seen today,
as they were in the 60's. We have a
brainwashed America today. Most
believe our soldiers are dying for our
freedom or to avenge the attacks on 9-11.
These lies are promoted daily on the
Corporate media and in the churches
and schools the U.S.A.
Stop the killing and end the illegal
occupation. Stop the torture. Stop the lies.

This flag waves proudly at our front door.

Joe and I walk everyday for one mile.

We call this "our peace walk" or "walk for the piece".

The park is old and the sidewalks are cracked.

It does us good to exercise and see the world.

Today was Presidents Day.

We took off today. Why should America

celebrate today? We have a dictator controlling

U.S. policy.  Endless war and Corporatism or fascism ,

will likely continue with a Clinton, Obama or McCain

presidency.

G.W.Bush fraudulently was selected in 2000,

Not That It Was Reported, but Gore Won

and widespread vote machine fraud got him back in

the whitehouse in 2004.

Todays Urban Dictionary Word of the Day
Valentime's Day
Happy Valentimes Day!

The 14th of February. It falls on the same day as Valentine's Day except this one is only celebrated by 5 year olds.

"My son rocks, he got Valentimes from all the girls at school on Valentime's Day." ~ A.Mom

Remember Liberry ? Go to the liberry to check out a book.
How about Chimley? Santa goes down the chimley.

I like to refer to the Urban Dictionary
for the many times I see an abbreviated,
slang or newest word not commonly
known.
I thought of a "urban word" I may use.
30 percenter. or 30% er .
A person who approves of George W. Bush.
No matter what, the polls always show that
G.W. Bush has an approval rating hovering
around 30%. I find that is amazingly high.
There are a loyal Bush following, whom I shall
name " the 30 percenters ".

Every day I think of what my next vehicle
will be. An electric, hybrid, or now a new choice
New car that runs on nothing but air
In the pool service business it will be impossible
to not visit each pool in person. How about
being able to drive without the expense,
or impact on the environment.

Tonight we went out to eat a delicious
Cajun meal at

Pappadeaux Seafood

We took our friend Siesta out.
 Today was Darwin Day.

Darwin Day Celebration

 We will recognize and celebrate
this day. We actually had our
Valentines Day dinner and
this restaurant was packed.
No doubt in my mind that almost
no-one knew or has any idea
who Charles Darwin was.
If more people would celebrate and
promote truth and science this would be
a better world.
Happy Darwin Day

The first scare was this morning.

My wife has been working overtime.

She gets in about 4:30 am. Joe

wakes up at 6 am. Most often I change

baby Joe and get him a leche in the a.m.

This morning I did not have my wife awake

to play with Joe as I got dressed for work.

Joe was layed back relaxed. One thing he

has gotten really good at is flipping over.

He had flipped himself off the bed onto the

floor. He cried and cried. He stopped crying

soon enough so after a complete exam, Joe

was O.K. My wife said we should lower the bed.

I say no to that, I'll have to pick him up or put

him in his crib in the future, when I am getting

ready for my day. He is not walking yet but

he sure flipped over and then hit hard and

bounced back. I guess that's why they

call them bouncing baby boys.

Taking the time to walk as long as possible

today. My son and I enjoyed the spring-like

weather that has come to N. Texas.

The only thing preventing a longer walk, is

lack of sidewalks. We have a motor-ized

society and I don't like it. Hard driving people

moving as fast as they dare through neighbor

-hoods and parks. I will talk to City hall about

making signs with a picture of a mom and

a stroller with the words "Slow Down",

"I'm walking here". The only thing I can think

of to slow down traffic is, higher fuel prices.

The cost of gas is already predicted to go to

$3.50 per gallon this spring. We do have the

lowest fuel prices in the U.S. here in N.E. Texas.

For the safety and pollution of the environment.

I am hoping that things get really bad soon.

Then people will get serious about electric

cars and public transportation.

The only way people will wake up is after they

get hit hard in the pocketbook. A Sprawl-mart

paycheck will not pay a $60 per week auto

fuel bill. When gas goes up the other prices follow.

A recession is on now!

Me, I am a walking and thinking what a great,

country this use to be.

Today we went to our favorite shop.

Me and Joe like to shop Central Market.

My son was facing the rear and he was "on".

Joe smiled big and let the people in line

know he was there to be entertained.

The girl of about 7 years had a balloon.

My baby boy laughed and laughed and

grew hysterical in laughter. The mom apologized,

if her daughter had got my baby too excited. I said

no my son loves balloons.
