Another Sunday and no Joe yet.

We can't expect an accurate due date

when we didn't get a sonogram until

the 6th month of pregnancy.

My wife has been seeing a

chiropracter specialist in pregnancy.

Her hips were out of align and now

she has less pain and is ready to deliver

My wife had a midwife exam yesterday,

she is fine and in perfect health,

baby Joe's heart rate is great and

he is in position to be born.

The stress of running a business and

walking and doctor visits along

cooking cleaning, laundry is great at times.

My wife is the best and she and I will also deal

with a 5 foot by 3 hole in the kitchen ceiling.

The ground has shifted due to the heavy rains.

Nationwide insurance has said they will not

pay our claim. You have to fight the corporations

every inch. Thieves and greedy money hungry

insurance companies are not going to ruin our

exciting time of soon bringing home our  baby boy.

UPDATE: Sunday night 10:30 pm Central labor pains

are 10 minutes apart. We are expecting our baby

sometime Monday. Yoo Hoo!

Dear Joe,

Today is the day you were due to be born.

We were told that we may not get to meet you,

for one or two more weeks.

One day you may read this and know how

much your dad loves you. Your mom and me,

both love you, we talk and plan on everything

we want to do together as a family.

We're going to go fishing and camping,

and play tennis and ride bikes.

We talk about how you got the name

Joe Perry.

Your mom lost her dad in  May 1999.

Since I have known and loved your mom

she talks fondly and with great love and respect,

for her dad "Joe". This is the name her dad chose

for himself, they did not know his real name

was Alfonso until he was buried. His dad was

named Joe, so your moms dad told everyone his

name was "Joe"

Your dads middle name and your grandad on my side

 is named Perry.

My dad may not have been the best husband,

he was married to my mom for 25 years, then divorced.

My dad was a good dad to us kids.

He was a "hands on" dad. Dad cooked for us,

washed our hair. He taught us how to play

We rode horses and had barrels and cane pole-

high jumps,we rode bikes we had  dogs, cats and rabbits.

My  sisters and I  had a great

childhood. I was lucky to have a great dad.

So your name is in honor of two great dads,

 your name is Joe Perry.

We have heard a lot of discussion about "Joe",

not being a good name for our first  child .

Well there's G.I. Joe, Joe Blow,

Joe average, Joe the bartender, Joe's Crabshack,

Eat at Joe's and Joe's Pizza and Pasta..

"Joe is somewhere on the road."

From the John Prine song.

"John Prine | Hello In There lyrics"

In 2005 I went to Crawford Texas to stand with

Cindy Sheehan in opposition to the occupation in Iraq.

On one of the best weekends there Joan Baez was there

She sang Joe Hill - this is a song that is about a real

man that stood for something in his life, he fought to

end the tyranny and abuse of the corporations over men.

Here are the  Lyrics .

I can't think of a more noble and honorable

name than "Joe".

You are the son of two great truth and peace activists.

A name pulled right out of thin air is not a name for

our son. You may be called Joseph, Joey, Joe Joe,

The way you are moving around, in the womb,

a good name would be- jumping Joesephat.

What the hell I might just call you.. Joecephus,

but your name will be Joe.

Non stop rain here in N.E. Texas,

has slowed down the pool biz.

Just 12 more days for the babies

due date. Will he be born today

or 4 weeks from now? Anyway,

to be certain the baby does not

arrive and I am in the bottom of

a pool, during these rainy times,

we are not making repairs or special

cleans. My wife has no  major complaints.

The mosqos (skeeters) are biting her

indoors! amazing how she attracts,

and gets bit when no-one else does.

We are trying to walk daily at the

shopping malls. Not my favorite,

but the baby has to get in position.

Happy 4th of July Shoppers!

Here's to a new Democracy to dream of.
