It's a boy!
Today we paid $100 to find
out the sex of our soon to be
born (six more weeks) son.
A high price but it made everybody
happy to know we will have a healthy
son. We got 2 crummy b/w pics, one
of his foot and one of his "boy parts".
Joe would not appreciate if I published
those pictures. I will get a good one of him
as he comes into the world, in a hot tub.
My son Joe will be born in a hot tub.
I will put him to work cleaning pools
soon as he can walk.
Also today, for exactly $100 I paid to have
the air conditioner recharged with freon.
The heat-wave is on. We will attempt to
clean 13 filters tomorrow. We will see
how we make it in the Texas heat. ~MK

Today we completed a drain and clean of a
large swimming pool. I am lucky that I have
a wife that helps out with enthusiasm. I am
sure that a small business can only run as a
family business. Today we had a fine Mexican dinner
at Pulido's and a piece of coconut cream pie.
We did not "celebrate" any Memorial Day.
It is a constant bother to us, as peace and truth
activists, to see the phoney U.S. government
continue to fund the occupation in Iraq.
The lies and distortion will continue as long
as we have war profiteering coroporate t.v.
We will continue to have our soldiers enlist in
a so called war on terror. What we have is a war
on truth and the lies keep on winning. We have
to keep on fighting for what is the truth, justice and
the American way. I love America, I hate the
government and the Republicans and Democrats
in power as of today, are not my government.
A sad day for peace activists, Cindy Sheehan
has thrown in the sponge.

Shopping for the new baby?
Tracy Turnblad (on right) played by Ricki Lake
Ricki Lake has a baby! on video!
How appropriate that my wifes look-alike ,(kidding) Tracy Turnblad,
or best known by her real name : Ricki Lake
has filmed a new documentary on childbirth and midwifery.
The Business of Being Born (2007)
We will be looking to see this film in Dallas-Fort Worth soon I hope!
PLOT DESCRIPTION
While the United States has perhaps the most advanced health care system in the world, it also has the second-highest infant mortality rate of any industrialized nation, and many have begun to question conventional wisdom regarding the way obstetricians deal with childbirth. While midwives preside over the majority of births in Europe and Japan, fewer than ten percent of American mothers employ them, despite their proven record of care and success. How do American doctors make their choices regarding the way their patients give birth, and who is intended to benefit? Director Abby Epstein and producer Ricki Lake offer a probing look at childbirth in America in the documentary The Business of Being Born, which explores the history of obstetrics, the history and function of Midwives, and how many common medical practices may be doing new mothers more harm than good. The Business of Being Born was screened as part of the 2007 Tribeca Film Festival. ~ Mark Deming, All Movie Guide

Very busy spring here in old Cowtown.
We have been installing new filters and
repairing and replacing pool sweeps.
We are draining and cleaning pools.
Very hard work, I am lucky to have my
little wife help me. She starts a new
job in about 12 days. My wife has gotten
hired as a 911 operator. She is planning
on working right up to the due date,
Saturday we learned she and baby are in
excellent health. We hope to have a
sonogram soon.

On this Mothers Day, we had a breakfast
at a favorite restaurant and we bought a
4 piece nightgown and slippers for my
wife and soon to be mother to wear on
our babies birth-day.
Tonight we will talk to my sweet mom in law.
Today we talked to my mom. I hope my
wife will be as great a lady as my mom.
At least every week my wife tells me how
much she really likes my mom. I am very lucky.
She taught us well and we learned many
valuable lessons as children.
Today I read about a great mom,
Cindy Sheehan .
I have stood with Cindy personally at Camp Casey,
at at Washington D.C. to protest the occupation
in Iraq. Make no mistake this is not a war and
it is not a "war on terror". This is about the control
of Iraqs oil, hundreds of thousands are dead
and dying for the lies of G.W. Bush and company.
I'll write more about this on my blog on Memorial Day.
Now read what Cindy Sheehan has to say about
the crap on Fox. It is all bullshit on TV news period.
Cindy Sheehan: Get Off It, Bill O'Reilly
A BUZZFLASH GUEST CONTRIBUTION
by Cindy Sheehan
A recent Harris Poll indicated that only 22% of Americans support George's war of terror. I suspect the less than one-fourth of our country who are still in favor of the hopeless mess that BushCo has tragically involved the USA gets all of their "news" from Fox News.

Corporate tv and network news are
not on our schedule. We cancelled our
local channels. We record on DVR, so we
can fast forward the advertisements.
We are not watching the viagra and penis
enlargement ads. We are not seeing the
W-mart propaganda and the TV-news lies.
We will not be watching any tv when
our baby is born. Maybe we will just watch
Freespeech TV.
My hope is the ABC, NBC and CBS, CNN etc.
all, go out of business. You can help them
cease to exist by boycotting the tv.

We are having our first and
any other future children at
a birthing center with a mid-wife.
We want a natural birth. With over
50% births ceasarian and labor
induced in most other deliveries.
The drug Cytotec is used.
"For women who want a natural, unmedicated birth, the hospital environment really is a square peg in a round hole,"
My wife and I do not take any drugs.
Americans are led to believe a hospital birth
is safe and a normal way to give birth.

We toured two birthing centers and
we were impressed the most with a
center we found in Weatherford, Texas.
I'll write more later.

Life on tobacco road this past week.
We got to see what it was like to live
without electricity for 51 hours.
Not as bad as life in BF Georgia in c1920.
Storms, and tornados continue
in the midwest. We lost 7 trees in
our park next lot over.
Electricity is mostly restored
I was getting used to going out to eat
and not having a computer, tv, or light to read by.
My wife cried, and cried every night and day.
I could not understand why she was taking it
so hard. My wife is due to have our first baby
in mid July. Women are emotional during
pregnancy.. Duh. , We have been losing business and
a very expensive ad has not gotten us a single call.
The drama last week , My wife fell!
It was scary to see my wife stumble on a patio
step, at a customers house, she took over 15 steps
flailing her arms in what seemed like really slow
motion. She was trying to catch up to herself and
avoid falling on the concrete patio. She fell to her
knees and fell hard, on her large 6 month pregnant
peice. My wife is fine, power is on and we found a
Midwife to deliver our baby.
We are very excited and happy to have found a
solution to how are we going to have a baby
without drugs, scapels and crowded hospitals,
with no insurance or savings.
More about this soon.
