2 years now I have tried to be

a vegetarian. As of early this year

I have not ate any meat. Not for any

yucky reasons. Not eating anything "with

a face", as  I once heard said. I would probably

eat an animal, if I knew the animal and

it was not injected with hormones and

antibiotics. The inhumane and cruelty

is bad enough but I am convinced

Americans are dying of cancers and

other deseases because of meat

consumption and other unhealthy habits.

My wife cooked the best non- meat dinner

last night. We had Tofurkey, Cauliflower

mashed and seasoned like mashed potatoes,

grilled vegetables. She made the Tofurkey

like a roast, with onions and potato and celery.

Excellent I recommend it.

My wife is the best, she cooks vegan for me

and she herself is still a carnivore.

Update: I did see the debates

Mike Gravel was great.

more here:

Tonight MSNBC aired the

first debates for president
by the Dems. I did miss it.
However it will be at
MSNBC's website:

If we had legitimate elections
in the U.S. my early favorites
are Mike Gravel  and Dennis Kucinich.

Who? you say, if you mostly tune to

corporate news and radio,
you are like most brainwashed
Americans all you have heard about
are Hillary, Obama, and Edwards.
Did you know Kucinich filed
for Impeachment of Cheney?

the 2000 election and 2004 were stolen.

On Sunday we went to the

Main Street Arts Festival

in Fort Worth. We went late

in the day on the final day.

Fort Worth downtown is a

beautiful place. It was a nice

time to stroll the Main St. of

a clean, well maintained  city.

The art was new and interesting.

Texans like open places and

lots of cold beer. We saw porto-lets

lined up to 100 or more. These are nasty

and I won't use one.

Is there a better way? We saw trailers

equipped with sinks and flushing

toilets for the V.I.P. and band members.

Portable Toilets by: Toilets.com

This is the only place my wife would

ever consider using as a public toilet.

She insists on seat liners. She tells me

most places in CA have toilet seat liners.

I thought of how difficult it must be to be

a pregnant lady in need of a restroom.

We did find one at the Bennigans restaurant.

Not a day goes by that I think of a new word.

A new way of saying something. I could

write a dictionerry of my best made up words.

Here is some I found just now:

WORD PLAY

Taken from the Washington Post's Mensa Invitational, which asked readers to take any word from the dictionary, alter it by adding, subtracting, or changing one letter, and supply a new definition. Here are a few of the winners that appealed to us:

Reintarnation: Coming back to life as a hillbilly.

Bozone (n.): The substance surrounding stupid people that stops bright ideas from penetrating. The bozone layer, unfortunately, shows little sign of breaking down in the near future.

Sarchasm: The gulf between the author of sarcastic wit and the person who doesn't get it.

Karmageddon: It's when everybody is sending off all these really bad vibes, and then the Earth explodes and it's a serious bummer.

Glibido: All talk and no action.

Beelzebug (n.): Satan in the form of a mosquito, that gets into your bedroom at three in the morning and cannot be cast out.

How are you? Me? lousy, but better,

finally getting over a cold, A cold?

Perhaps a ten day long strep throat type cold.

Who knows, I can't afford a doctor visit.

My wifes antibiotics from a year ago

helped and sipping scotch on the

rocks, single malt of course.

That I can come up with the scratch for.

I reccommend Glen Parker $17.99

a fifth, old name for under a quart.

Fifth of a Gallon? Now it's  (750 ML)

Beautiful spring weather today. Anet experienced

her first Texas spring hailstorm friday night.

Five tornadoes touched down. No damage

from baseball sized hail for the Kellogs.

WE have to be wary of exercise-ball size hail.

Seriously there was some damage here in NE Texas.

My sweet wife from east L.A. had great fear from

this storm. We had fun ducking into our 2 by 3 foot

hall closet.  We're going to work all day on pools

tomorrow, in the finally mild spring days ahead.

The worst weather anywhere is in Texas,

We have extreme heat and humidity as of

this past tuesday it was 87F. Today it will

go down to 32F. In the past week I have had

severe alergies. The symtoms are very much

like the flu. Today I read that dust-bowl drought

conditions are predicted in the next 15 years.

Scientists Predict Southwestern Dust Bowl by 2050

We have a state governor who has said about

global warming, "some science that may or

 may not be correct."

This explains a lot about Texas | Gristmill: The environmental ...

Daily the air is thick with mowed and blowed up

grass and weeds from the perfectly manicured

lawns.Water sprinklers running even as heavy

rains flood us. We Americans are going to have

to revert to an 1850's yard, (no grass).

Horse and buggies only in metro

areas. Much has to be changed. I am ready to

travel by bicycle and horse carriage.

Too much traffic , too many drivers. Fuel prices

nearing $3.00 once again. I say. Slow down, I'm

walking here.
