Getting ready for spring.

Swimming pool cleanup is near.

Our new website is taking shape.

Over the years I have paid literally

hundreds and up to $1500 for web design.

We did it ourselves, and this is the best.

We designed our askpoolboy site

and are working on our other websites

Dot. easy it really is easy.

A sunny day at last! Hurray!
What better time to clean up the
yard. Yard work  and clean
garage tomorrow.
I hope my fellow Texans and
all of America will eliminate
watching all network news, radio and
corporate television. All the lies
and omissions of real news has
angered me for many years now.
Anna Nichole's death and Tiffany Spears
shaved head and "down below",
are news here in the U.S.
Here is an old chap who really
made so little of an impact on the
world nobody noticed him missing
until one year later they found him
in front of the boob tube.
What a way to go.

More than a year after death, man found in front of his TV
Neighbors said they had thought Ricardo was in a hospital or nursing home. Still, neighbor Diane Devon said residents at a gathering last month remarked that they hadn't seen him in some time.

"We never thought to check on him," she said.
What I want to know is what he was watching when he died?

The State of the Union Speech?

What's new? A lot of cold and winter
here in Old Cowtown. This makes us
hope to move to Southern Calif. one day.

After another computer crash, this time instead
of hours and hours of  reloading data.
We paid $250 to a "Geek" the phonebook
is full of these guys that charge a bottom price
of $100 and go up to $500 for a in house "repair".

The more I learn about this here computer
machine, the more I learn I don't know. I may
have to look into this "geek bidness" The pool biz
is on winter hiatis. We are not making repairs in
 freezing temps.

We will be saving at least $250 for web design
since, my wife and I are designing our own and
it will be up soon.

I am happy my wife does not like diamonds or
roses. Both of which no-one should buy.
She was very happy to receive a Cesar Millan
t-shirt that says "Pack Leader" she is a leader
of the pack for certain.

For Valentines Day she got me a brand new
Yamaha receiver. She bought this for $15.
My wife works with disabled people. Her current
assignment is working with a "consumer" at
Goodwill. She has been coming home with
bargains just about everyday.

I am not complaining, I am glad my wife is not
a clothes shopper and most  definately not a
Mal-wart shopper.

A nice weather day for a change here

75F, in old Cowtown. After the new year

we have had ice, rain and snow. My wife

has had a persistant cough since mid

December. She started her new job today,

I am now glad she is working on her own.

I see her mood change for the better.

We plan on getting our new windows and

doors this week. We went to see

The Pursuit of Happyness (2006).

Excellent film and the theater was not

crowded on this super stupid bowl sunday.

I am strongly against staring at a corporate,

commercial  tv show. An American tradition

you say. I say bullshit. get out side and play!

Yesterday a great Texan died ,

more:  http://hellointhere.motime.com/1170353657#638651

In a very hot June of 2005, I met Molly Ivins in

Austin Texas for the DemocracyFest 2005. She

was the main speaker with Jim Hightower,

Glen Maxey and others. I stood next to her as

she was about to give  her speech.

She was about 6'2" I would guess.

I did not know she had received chemo.

and was bald, beneath a white wig. She was

one of the funniest and brightest speakers

I had ever heard. I was surprised,

to see her alone near the edge of the campus

property, smoking a cigarette! I am not sure

if smoking had anything to do with her breast

cancer.  I am sorry to learn of her death. Below

is  a tribute and her last column.

We owe it to Molly to do as she said

" We need people in the  streets, banging pots and

pans and demanding, "Stop it, now!"

Stand Up Against the Surge

The purpose of this old-fashioned newspaper crusade to stop the war is not to make George W. Bush look like the dumbest president ever. People have done dumber things. What were they thinking when they bought into the Bay of Pigs fiasco? How dumb was the Egypt-Suez war? How massively stupid was the entire war in Vietnam? Even at that, the challenge with this misbegotten adventure is that WE simply cannot let it continue.
