My least favorite method of communication

The cell phone. I hate it , the technology

does not exsist yet, for clear calls without

interruption. Most shoppers do not let

that stop them. It is becoming rare

to see a shopper cruising the boulevards

without a cell phone held tightly to their head.

Just now I got a bill for $58 for 539 minutes.

I have been strictly 200 to 300 for monthes,

now the plan has to change. I will not make

calls on the mobile phone period.

If a train engine has to be lifted off my neck ,

 someone else will call.

Look at this ,phone books on your dash,

cell phones integrated with the steering...

Happy Holidays Shoppers!

It is Memorial Day.

Todays Quote:

Drinking makes such fools of people, and people are such fools to begin with, that it's compounding a felony.

This day of drink, day to get drunk,

we remember the people who

American soldiers had their lives

taken from them.

They died for a lie and you are not getting

the truth.

The highways of Fort Worth,

are jammed most of the time.

This is the fastest growing city in

the USA. You have to have a

fast vehicle in top running shape.

You cannot talk on the cell phone,

while driving.

My friend Siesta, has called me ,

on her cell phone , While driving,

asking me to drive her over 50 miles

to and from work. Her belt has broke.

Why can't your boyfriend come

and take you to work? I ask. He is

at work. She got him a job where she

 works at FED EX.

I said they are not going to tolerate

tardiness, missed days, sick days etc.

It is not my responsibility to get her to

work, I don't run a taxi service.

I said no. My truck radiater has a leak,

and I don't want it to overheat.

Siesta has never been on time for any

appointment or scheduled work with me.

I am not going to take it. I deserve the

respect of timely and effecient work.

If you live here you have to be an AAA

member and you have to have a car,

that can take alot of milage.

I have been talking to a soon- to- be

new secretary.

The New Breakfast

In the old days of very poor health choices,

I used to have coffee and a cigarette for

breakfast, and one more cigarette for desert.

I know people, and family who are having this

same breakfast, or maybe some geasy crap

from the evil fast food joints. I'll be seeing them

in a wheelchair, or I'll fly home to thier funerals.

"Why do you smoke?"  I asked a teenager,

"What else is there to live for?" was the answer.

For me,I plan on living a healthy happy life ,

and hacking and coughing never made me happy.

If someone passed me a joint, the hacking cough,

would negate any potential for euphoria.

So I take no drugs of any kind legally prescrbed or not.

I am trying to make healthier food choices.

For Breakfast Today I had . Light_Silk_Soy_Milk,

2 strips of, Turkey_Bacon, 2 poached eggs,

10 vitamins and minerals, and 3 cups of coffee.

Very full and sated, Now I am ready to greet the world.

Wake-up Call
Eating breakfast may tame your appetite and help keep your blood fats in check.

Breakfast eaters consume fewer calories throughout the day and have better blood lipid profiles and insulin sensitivity than breakfast skippers, a recent study concludes. Low-fat yogurt with fruit, granola with skim milk, or whole-grain toast with peanut butter are all great choices to start your day.

RealAge Benefit: Eating breakfast can make your RealAge as much as 1.1 years younger.

More: Get more easy, healthful breakfast choices . . .

Bike riding again, I love it..

Early morning rides are the best , I do

intend to start out at no later than 6 am.

The crowds of bicyclers and joggers increase,

as the day goes on. I don't mind a crowded

trail .it's the SUV's and trucks that zoom past,

scowling and probably cursing me as

I try to share the roads.

What I don't understand is, Why do the

mothers of this town, not allow the

younguns to ride the bus? I've asked

this and one answer is the buses aren't

safe. Why is a city bus safer? Why can't

school bus drivers be trusted to drive

safely? Don't get me started, I have to

keep riding and keep asking why?

Next, Why is water out of the tap, not

considered pure and safe to drink?

Hours and hours spent

cleaning up after the crap that gets,

 downloaded from scammers and spammers.

It's no wonder that almost everyone I know

"don't do the internet" The people I

know that are into email and online news,

are retired, or online while supposedly

working.

Which reminds me of the Queen of

goof-offs and loafers, My sometimes secretary,

Siesta called , she wants to make some

money, when she gets back from out

of town. My invoice program is a mess.

I have calls galore to make "collections",

This is what I hate about working for myself,

the most . Slow pay, No pay, people pay the

pool boy the last on the list.

Today I saw a SUV on top of a compact

car and it was crushed badly.

I later saw 2 SUV's  a truck and a BMW.

All totalled and smashed up badly.

These are all on quiet residential streets.

What has become of the shoppers, of this

little Cowtown? Speed, In a hurry, sleep

until the alarm awakens you. This is

madness. I am ready to slow it all down.

Are you? ride a bike, share the roads.

Bike riding Sunday.

For the first time since last summer.

It feels good to ride, when the weather,

is mild. It is a miserable experience,

in the Texas heat.

I met a "ride buddy" through the FWBA ,

club that I joined.

My ride buddy Roberta, and I met at a point

on the Trinity Trail. She seemed new to riding.

She was very heavy for a bicyclist.

She was on an old rusty chain bike with bald

tires.

She set the pace at about 12 to 15 mph.

This is a good pace for me to get back into

riding. Total ride 15 mles for me.

I didn't find out much about her, other than,

she is a nurse at an elementary school.

I told her that I like to ride in the mornings

very early, mostly to avoid the Texas heat.

She said she like to ride in the evening.

We may ride again, if my injured knee is not

hurting.

Walmart in the News

In America today, a business you might know pays such poor wages its workers have to turn to taxpayers to pay for their health care. The same firm has made China, a totalitarian dictatorship that holds wages down by outlawing unions, its supplier of choice -- the source of 70 percent of its inventory.

And the family that owns this company and has become wildly wealthy? They make sure to invest their money in the Republican Party -- where they know their investment will pay off with tax cuts for the richest few.

What company is this? Wal-Mart -- the largest, richest corporation in the world.

Major organizations we work with -- groups such as the Service Employees International Union, and the United Food and Commercial Workers -- believe America's largest corporation should do better. To make that happen, they've launched a massive campaign to show Americans the massive scale of Wal-Mart's irresponsibility.

But those groups need allies. Should we join the fight? The choice is yours:

Problem with Sattelite receiver. Dish sent

a new one.

I lost all the movies and documentaries,

that I have been recording on Dish DVR.

What a waist of time. "Time is on my side"

is my motto I suppose.

I try to make time and to never hurry.

Impossible mostly. I was at an intersection,

with a I'm guessing 16 to 23 year old driver.

She was on her cell phone and not watching

me or anyone else and gunned it through the

stop sign. A near miss for sure, with this young

miss. I took my time, and let her pass, after all

"time is on my side". The road rages on... MK

Driving the suburban freeways

No matter how high the gas prices climb,

the roads in the neighborhoods and

suburbs of old Cowtown are crowded,

with shoppers in a hurry.

A lady in a SUV with her headlights on

at 2 pm, was right on my bumper.

I drive the speed limit or slower. It

saves gas and it is safer. If you have to

stop suddenly for a small child retrieving

a ball. If a momma with a stroller mis-steps,

into your line of traffic. A pet dog or cat runs

across the road, you can easily avoid

killing animals, women and children,

and bicyclists.

I see these huge gas

hogs in a hurry and flooring it as they

angrily pass me, and sometimes flip the

finger. I am for taxing the automobile off

the roads. I want to see walking and bicycling.

Americans are fat, stupid, and in a hurry.

Share the roads.
