Todays Road Rage

Today I saw 2 men very near fisticuffs, on the freeway, The 18 wheeler who had crushed a sub-compact was yelling and chasing the smaller fellow ,both had clenched in thier fists, cell phones.Maybe they should build phones into billy clubs. Traffic on loop 820 was tied up for hours. I took a different route that added another hour to my day..

Here are some most common triggers for prompting an act of road rage:

* Not reacting soon enough after a light turns green.

* Weaving back and forth between lanes.

* Cutting other drivers off.

* Pulling out in front of someone and then slowing down after doing so.

* Tailgating to pressure other drivers to go faster or get out of the way.

* Trying to beat a yellow light turning red and obstructing a lane of traffic.

* Traveling in the passing lane at a slower rate of speed, making it impossible for others to pass you.

* Not paying attention because you’re on the phone and you’ve made an obscene gesture.

Here are a few tips for preventing road rage:

* Don’t get too upset. Give drivers the benefit of the doubt -- that they made a mistake by cutting you off and let it go. Take a deep breath, and when it’s safe to pass, calmly indicate your acknowledgement of what they did. Nobody is perfect. Stay away from irresponsible drivers on the road instead of antagonizing them even more. If another driver’s aggressive behavior is intentional, the best thing to do is avoid eye contact and get out of the way.

* Stay on your guard. Road rage is usually precipitated by a glaring driving error which puts those around you in jeopardy. Simple practices like signaling appropriately when changing lanes or turning can help you avoid road ragers.

* Maintain Distances. It’s not a race. It’s not fun to have someone surgically attached to your bumper, so why attach yours to others? Don’t tailgate and get into the right hand lane if someone is moving at a faster rate of speed than you are.

* Please don’t speed. We’ve all heard the cliché, “Arrive Alive.” Driving fast provides you with no opportunity to react to the fatal flaws of others, to change lanes, make an exit or stop unexpectedly. Obeying the speed limit will more likely lead to less aggressive behavior because of the stress associated with driving at recklessly higher rates of speed.

Blogging is the result of insomnia, and boredom at work ,(get busy) One thing that is sure to keep me awake is a long afternoon nap, or too much coffee, even decaffeinated-MK

Set a schedule
Go to bed at a set time each night and get up at the same time each morning. Disrupting this schedule may lead to insomnia. "Sleeping in" on weekends also makes it harder to wake up early on Monday morning because it re-sets your sleep cycles for a later awakening.

Exercise
Try to exercise 20 to 30 minutes a day. Daily exercise often helps people sleep, although a workout soon before bedtime may interfere with sleep. For maximum benefit, try to get your exercise about 5 to 6 hours before going to bed.

Avoid caffeine, nicotine, and alcohol
Avoid drinks that contain caffeine, which acts as a stimulant and keeps people awake. Sources of caffeine include coffee, chocolate, soft drinks, non-herbal teas, diet drugs, and some pain relievers. Smokers tend to sleep very lightly and often wake up in the early morning due to nicotine withdrawal. Alcohol robs people of deep sleep and REM sleep and keeps them in the lighter stages of sleep.

Relax before bed
A warm bath, reading, or another relaxing routine can make it easier to fall sleep. You can train yourself to associate certain restful activities with sleep and make them part of your bedtime ritual.

Sleep until sunlight
If possible, wake up with the sun, or use very bright lights in the morning. Sunlight helps the body's internal biological clock reset itself each day. Sleep experts recommend exposure to an hour of morning sunlight for people having problems falling asleep.

Don't lie in bed awake
If you can't get to sleep, don't just lie in bed. Do something else, like reading, watching television, or listening to music, until you feel tired. The anxiety of being unable to fall asleep can actually contribute to insomnia.

Control your room temperature
Maintain a comfortable temperature in the bedroom. Extreme temperatures may disrupt sleep or prevent you from falling asleep.

See a doctor if your sleeping problem continues

Elaine spittingSpitting! everyone is spitting in Texas! It is a very popular habit to walk down the sidewalk, and spit anywhere. I believe it is confined to outdoors all this spitting, grown men spit, children spit, even grown women spit in Texas. I see spitting, on the bike trail, I see spitting by joggers, cyclists, and moms and dads pushing baby carriages even! Today my associate Mr. Turner honked out a big snot,(bare-handed), then spit,pool-side and then again in the pool equipment room. Where does this disgusting habit come from?Do baseball fans see spitting and think this looks cool? I moved to Texas in 1994, everyone had a huge Texas beer belly, even the women! , I hope I never get one of those!I thought, I did , and I am getting rid of it,  by working out. I don't believe I will ever spit, other than at home in the sink, or at the dentists. I have to think now, it may be a good practice to remove ones shoes upon entering the home.- Mo Kellogs ~A sign I would like to see!

To me alot of this blogging is about release of anxiety. I deal with traffic daily. Just a trip to the grocery store is a highly anxious experience. I want to try to say things here, on Motime that I don't often express in real life.( Talk to us here Ro, or on your blog if you will, about anxiety or any subject.) I am far from perfect, I know that I can control the feelings I have when I see automobiles, just blow through the traffic lights. I have been stopped 3 times for not wearing a seat belt. One time I was ticketed for $105. I do wear my seat belt now ,all the time. I observe the local police ignoring failure to stop, often. I believe it is a much more serious offense to "run a red light" than not being belted. Wearing of a seat belt is a crime that only hurts yourself, unless of course you have small children passengers. I am working with the goal in mind of having enough money ,that I am not going to have to travel the roads. As much as I loved cars and driving as a youngster, driving is the most unpleasant experience in my life. - MK

I also get angry in traffic, I know my blood pressure rises tremendously just driving residential streets in my daily routine of servicing swimming pools. I am sure if I don't die in a traffic accident, it will be of a massive stroke, from the stress of travelling the roads, of this busy world. I am working on it. It is extremely difficult to make timely appointments, because of traffic delays.  I am riding my bike. Hopefully if I get run over it won't be too painful. I can't be in a hurry, my life depends on it.

Shopping at the Tom Thumb, I like to go to the grocery store just about every day. I like fresh vegetables. I live alone, and eat alone, except for when Ro is with me, so I go to the grocery store alot. I am greeted enthusiastically at the Tom Thumb, 2 people dressed like giant pizzas, they get me to sample the pizza that is on sale.  Sampling works, makes me want to buy one, I tell them nobody likes pizza much at my house. The pizza costumed pair, give a sales pitch that has no end. Then on the loudspeaker, Cakes are being given away every 30 minutes, I rush over, at the prompting of the giant pizza's . I get on a "cake-walk" number, then I realize Ro and I don't need to eat that sugary junk. It sure looked good, especially the red velvet and german chocolate. Forget it! I say to myself, I'm trying to train for a 100 mile bike ride, in the Texas heat, in 2 weeks. Then I go near the meat counter, where usually you have to ring a bell, or ask for help, I got aggressively asked , "Can I help you?"twice!

I don't really use coupons that often, and I don't watch for sales, that much. This store seems to have very high prices , on everything. They are doing a good job on creating excitement at the grocery. But forget about it, if you are looking for a good deal, ~unless you want free, greasy, sugary junk food.

Just for fun, I asked a guy dressed like a "giant pizza slice" . " Say, what isle can I find the pizzas? " I ask. He steps away from his huge display of pizzas to point out the way , I hesitate and look unsure , this "pizza slice" offers to show the way. Maybe he forgot what he was wearing and what he was selling? Shoulda cought it on Candid Camera. - Happy Day Shoppers- MK

from Creators.com - Creators Syndicate

"Come on in ,take yer shoes off ,set a spell"

This might be something Jed Clampett would

say, but would you ask someone ,to take off

thier shoes? I would soon ask, "Come in take ,

off your bra."

Dear Prudence
What do you think about people who invite you over for a social gathering, only to get you to their doorstep and politely direct you to take off your shoes—without explanation—but presumably so you won't soil their carpet or scratch their floors? Is this acceptable behavior? I personally find it offensive and ridiculous. Either buy carpet that will stand up to foot traffic, or don't invite people over. This has happened to me several times (different hosts). I am uncomfortable barefooted on cold hard-wood floors, and I don't particularly care for my unattractive feet being exposed without warning. Believe me, I am not unsympathetic to their plight, as I myself have light-colored carpet. (I just get regular carpet cleanings and spot-clean if I do get a stain.) Is it too much to ask to keep your shoes on when socializing, or should I suck it up and resign myself to carrying a pair of tube socks in my car for situations like this?

—Cold Feet in Houston

Dear Cold,
Prudie can think of two occasions when "remove your shoes" is a proper "request": If the party is in
Japan or the hosts are offering pedicures. Asking guests to check their shoes at the door is not the most hospitable or gracious way to entertain. However, if the rest of the party components seem worthwhile (the other guests, ambience), give the crazy-clean hosts the benefit of the doubt and doff your shoes. Carrying tube sox is actually a good idea, assuming you wish to socialize with such fussy people. Pragmatically, your decision is between tube sox and declining the invitation.

—Prudie, optionally

Every household has rules, I would not take off my shoes, but just once, in a newly carpeted house, and for family only, and any further invitations, would probably be declined. I think that's too much to ask, "take off your shoes", no I'll just take a hike, see ya..- Mo Kellogs

recycle carts and tote

click to enlarge: Tony theTiger tote

Late last year we began recycling here in Old Cowtown, We now have a large blue cart to place almost everything that can be recycled, We have a brown container for things like baby diapers, meat scraps, etc. a green cart is available to purchase for yard trimmings. I use a compost pile.

Ro bought me a "tote" on Ebay. I am not sure what she wanted me to use it for. We don't have any babies, it won't be used for diapers. We don't have any near-by beaches here in N.E. Texas, so I don't need a beach bag. Everytime I go to the grocery store I get plastic bags, these are not to be placed in the recycling cart. So, I thought well this "tote", will be perfect to carry groceries out to my truck with, I won't have to collect so many crummy plastic bags. Well Ro just laughed and laughed at the sight of me going off to Tom Thumbs' grocery store with my "Tony the Tiger tote". I did carry my "tote" under my arm like a business portfolio, I did not swing it from the crook of my arm while I skipped down the aisles of the grocery. I paid the cashier, left my "tote" with my items, the clerk bagged up my items into my "tote", just like this is something she does often. I just thought that's what this "tote" bag was for. Next I am going to attach it to my bicycle, and off to the store I'll go. - Remember to recycle, shoppers, I did! -Mo Kellogs

From Daily Confession: http://dailyconfession.com/display.asp?CID=59745

I saw a movie many years ago with Burt Reynolds. There was a scene in which he sees a girl that he wants to meet. He intentionally breaks the taillight of her parked car and leaves a written apology with his phone number on the windshield.

When I was 27 years old and between relationships, I saw a girl that I wanted to meet. I thought that if it worked for Burt, that it would work for me.

I broke her taillight. I left my name and number.

The next day her husband the attorney calls. He already has three quotes to fix the taillight and explains that I must have a check in the amount of $237 in his office in five business days or he was going to sue me.

Never tried that one again.

Reminds me of a time, I was about 25, I gave a girl a ride to a bar, it was raining. I was driving a company vehicle, for an office coffee service I worked for. While parking the company van, in a tight spot, I backed into a car. My passenger went into the bar to try to locate the owner, I decided to do the right thing and I left a note ." I am sorry I cracked your tail-light, call me . I will take care of it". A guy called me a few days later , he said he had 3 estimates, the lowest being $850, I told him he was crazy, I had only hit the tail-light , and cracked it. I had a newly refurbished van, not a dent or scratch was visible at all. I had written the note on the back of a business card. The Vice president fired me promptly for lying about driving the company vehicle, for personal use. I wonder what a note might say, if I ever have to write one again. hmmmm. -Mo Kellogs

I reckon I should have some fruit and pack some cold Fort worth water. High temps are going to be near 90 today. I am going to train for the  Aledo's Ride for Heroes - Rodeo a long bike ride to break from the winter. I like to ride my bike in the morning best. Not practical since I have pools that need service. Maybe I'll start riding early , less likely to get run over by a road rager. Well adios for now . Remember to always wear a helmet and if riding at night wear white. -MK

Top of the morning to you shoppers, I hope everyone finds just the right gift today on this St. Patricks Day '04. I remember 10 years ago on this day, was a sad day, I had just moved to "the edge of not mapped yet" , a small house on the outskirts of Fort Worth, Texas. I had moved here from Savannah, Georgia, where on this day , the Savannah river is dyed green, people drink green beer, eat green grits.dress like Leprechauns, and go around all day ,with buttons on that say things like "Kiss Me I'm Irish" schools are closed and is the 2nd largest St. Patricks Day celebration parade in the U.S.is held.Savannah Georgia Saint Patrick's Day Parade Parade Click Here
I am now glad to be here in Fort worth, Texas. This day is no more of a celebration, than Groundhog's Day, here in Old Cowtown. For breakfast I had 5 little sausages and 2 bowls of cheese grits, (not green) and an apple, in honor of this day . Speckin' ze Irish? ,says Moe. Hoot mon! Hoot mon!, nyuk nyuk nyuk. says Curley. "Erin Go Braugh!"- means Ireland forever! -I think, anyway have a happy day-Mo Kellogs

Springtime here in Fort Worth, Texas, Cowtown. Pear trees, peaches, plum trees in bloom and trees budding everywhere. That also means algae blooms in swimming pools. So Mo and Ro, are beginning to get busier all the time. I took photos with my new digital camera phone of some ducks and geese by a creek. This camera phone is a big disapointment, the pictures are awful.( I liked the pic you took and sent Robin, thanks), but my camera is no bueno. Now Ro says it'll be $15 extra each month to have "visions" on my phone allowing games, photos, email, and even tv viewing on my cell phone.I don't play games, I have a digital camera, a computer for email. and a tv in every room. So why does anyone need all that on their cell phone? I don't know. In my opinion, no-one needs a mobile phone, unless they ever find a need for a phone booth .They don't have those anymore.

Shopping today, I went to shoppers paradise "the mall", I saw , shaved heads, and baggy pants everywhere and tight and low for the pre-pubescent girls. Everywhere shoppers shopping, buying gifts for this holiday season,- spring break you know. I saw everyone talking on their cell phones, I even saw granmas talking, I saw people selling mobile phones in kiosks talking. If they weren't talking they were playing games on them. The economy is thriving here in Old Cowtown, because I am even seeing hobos with cell phones. I drive down the street and see almost every driver talking. I had to call Ro, to find out if there is a national tragedy I didn't know about. Nothing going on in the world. Just talking, and walking and talking and driving. This is the new national past-time,yacking on the cell phone. My 12 year old neice told me she wants a mobile phone for her next birthday. What was I doing at the mall, you ask? getting a watch battery. free covered under waranty, amount spent at mall $1.59 for an energy bar at a health shop, yuck!

Pretty poisons

To toddlers who can't read, a white plastic bottle of citrus-scented Clorox bleach with a picture of a sliced orange on its label is hard to distinguish from a white plastic bottle of Tropicana orange juice with a picture of a sliced orange on its label.

I say, the real danger is having sweetened drinks and juices in the home period.

Do not drink juice! It does no good for you. eat an orange, or apple instead.

Sunday, and I feel good. I know folks that like to sleep all day sundays, usually because of a hangover from a saturday night. I am glad I don't drink and go out to bars. I enjoy going out to eat with Ro.I mostly hate all bars. I cannot stand the music that is played. I used to enjoy a bar in Savannah, Ga. "The Bottom Line", a really fun place to listen to live jazz. I also liked "The Crossroads" for live blues music. The places I have been to in recent years are really crowded, mostly with people trying to pick each other up. I only experience bars now, by way of satellite tv. I watch these stupid shows on saturday nights "Cheaters" Cheaters.com® a private investigating team follows a suspected cheating spouse or lover, gathering enough evidence to "bust" the cheater, usually in a crowded noisy bar. Last night they filmed a guy screwing his paramour, in a mens lavatory. Being shown the tape, the suspect denied it ,saying it must've been his brother. Another dumb show "Elimidate"elimiDATE - This Week, a young man or woman goes out with five dates, throughout the night one by one eliminating the least favorites, and after many drinks, and "body shots" dancing and flirting. The last one is many times literally the last one standing, or still sober enough to be chosen the final date for the night, usually ending up in bed, or a hot-tub together. Watching these shows makes me glad I don't go out to bars. I remember the loud , loud music. You really have to think of something clever to scream in someones ear. "NICE WEATHER WE'RE HAVING" no, not really worth it. I can just watch and be glad I'm not in those bars.

It is hot and sunny in Old Cowtown

Sunburn

Summer is the season for sunburns, but don't spend your time or money on aloe or vitamin E to take the burn away, says Kellogs. "Instead apply plain old white, distilled vinegar to your sunburn," she says. "You may smell like a salad but the vinegar also serves as a topical non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which reduces the inflammation, pain, and redness of a sunburn."

Hey kellogs fans, please read my posting and educate me if you can. Pertaining to the lyrics to the tea-curing-everything song that Mo posted tonight, my story that I am writing tonight is the honest truth: When Willie, my dog who was poisoned this week, was in the hospital, I had thoughts of going back to the dog hospital to see if they would let me try the "egg treatment", a folklore ritual the Hispanics practice to cure certain illnesses.

As unbelievable as it is, I bear witness and would testify under oath that approximately 7 years ago the "egg treatment" worked on one of my other dogs, Boot. The vet had given up hope on Boot after being on IV for 3 or 4 days without progressing. Boot had parvo-a dog killer disease or virus. After the vet sent Boot home with me, I called Rudy's 80 year old aunt, Leandra, to find out what to do. Rudy, my late husband, was hispanic. Growing up poor, Rudy remembers Leandra being the one who treated him and his siblings when they were ill. The egg procedure has to be done by someone who loves the person, and in this case animal. I rolled the egg all over Boot's body and sobbed and plead to someone, out loud and in my head. I wasn't instructed to pray, but what do you do when you're performing some sort of "witchcraft?" and something/someone you love is dying before your eyes. I probably sat on the floor rolling this egg for at least 20 minutes. When I stopped, I observed the egg shell had a dark green 3/4" to 1" round spot on it. I broke it and put it in the disposal. After I disposed of the egg, I think I was told that I wasn't supposed to do that. I can't remember what I should have done with the egg. Probably should have stuck it in a corner or something. But anyway, within 2 hours Boot ate, drank and was up walking, none of which he had done for approximately a week. By the end of the day, there was no sign to indicate he had been near death or even sick. There was a spanish word for what Leandra said boot was suffering from and it pertained to some sort of condemnation.

After I witnessed this miracle, I then asked Leandra what we could do for my mother, who lived over 900 miles from me and was disabled from diabetes consequences. Aunt Leandra told me that Mom needed the lemon treatment. Egg treatment and lemon treatment are my own terms. Don't remember or have a clue what reference I should be using. It wasn't the same type procedure. The lemons were supposed to be placed in the corner of the sick room, and maybe also under the mattress... I don't remember exactly how it went. Mom, sure enough, tried it. She told me when her cleaning lady came to clean, that the lady left the lemons intact and left Mom a note stating she had left the lemons alone. The cleaning lady was not Hispanic and because of the locale it is doubtful that she had contact with Hispanics. She was probably wondering about Mom's mental capacity at that point. Mom died a few years later by feeding her condition the poison that caused it. Lemons did not do anything for her. Because of my sudden spark of curiousity which was brought on by thekellog tea lyrics posting, I will probably research and stumble on something about this folklore on the internet. However, I am more interested to read about a fellow blogger's related knowledge or experience. Ro

Muswell Hillbillies

I have discovered a perfect workout CD

It is from a long time back, I exercised

vigorously to The Kinks " Muswell Hillbillies",

Ro, You will be hearing this A-lot because

spring is here and I have a goal to get fit

and exercised every day except Sunday.

(day of rest you know) I used to listen to

this on 8 track tape (homemade of course)

when I was washing dishes at Woolworths'

cafe. I always worked with my music blaring.

I have no apologies for music I listened to

as a youth. I think youngters will have alot of

explaining to do, about the baggy pants crap

I have heard. Do people really like any of

what you hear on American Idol ? Almost

all of it is bad , I think.

Here are the lyrics to The Kinks

Amazon.com: Music: Muswell Hillbillies

Have a cuppa tea

Granny's always ravin' and rantin'
And she's always puffin' and pantin',
And she's always screaming and shouting,
And she's always brewing up tea.

Grandpappy's never late for his dinner,
Cos he loves his leg of beef
And he washes it down with a brandy,
And a fresh made cup of tea.

Chorus:
Have a cuppa tea, have a cuppa tea,
have a cuppa tea, have a cuppa tea,
Halleluja, halleluja, halleluja, Rosie Lea
Halleluja, halleluja, halleluja Rosie Lea.

If you feel a bit under the weather,
If you feel a little bit peeved,
Take granny's stand-by potion
For any old cough or wheeze.
It's a cure for hepatitis it's a cure for chronic insomnia,
It's a cure for tonsilitis and for water on the knee.

Chorus

Tea in the morning, tea in the evening, tea at supper
time,
You get tea when it's raining, tea when it's snowing.
Tea when the weather's fine,
You get tea as a mid-day stimulant
You get tea with your afternoon tea
For any old ailment or disease
For Christ sake have a cuppa tea.

Chorus,

Whatever the situation whatever the race or creed,
Tea knows no segregation, no class nor pedigree
It knows no motivations, no sect or organisation,
It knows no one religion,
Nor political belief.

Chorus.

Todays Road Rage.

A 46-year-old motorcyclist, speeding, yelling obscenities, and shaking his fist alongside an 18-wheeler that had made a left turn of questionable etiquette on a Corpus Christi, Texas, street, lost control of the cycle, fell off, and was fatally dragged underneath the truck (October). And in Tampa, Fla., a 20-year-old man chased down another driver (both in pickups), finally jumping onto the first driver's door so he could punch him through the window. The distracted driver continued on for two blocks but finally hit a tree, which caused the truck to roll over onto the man clinging to the door, and he died at the scene (October). [Corpus Christi Caller-Times, 10-9-03] [St. Petersburg Times, 10-5-03]

I got shot the finger yesterday afternoon, on a sunny afternoon in a quiet residential neighborhood. Following close to my rear and turning from side to side as if

attempting to pass. I pulled over to yet the violently angry youngster pass. One day he and his female passenger might learn that people tote guns here in Texas.

Latest news on obesity. Obesity set to be US's next top killer

Soon more people will die of type 2 diabetes, and

diseases related to a sedentary lifestyle and over

eating. More Americans will die from eating a

giant burger than from smoking a cigarette.

Does this mean we will ban fast food

advertising (I hope so) . Will eating french

fries in a public place be banned? Will

shoppers have to have their big mac

and coke out on the sidewalk,

(good idea, but doubtful)

Today Mo and Ro had some pizza at

Ci-Ci's Pizza, an unusually rare thing .

We each had about 3 slices and a brownie

and me a chocolate pastry. O.K. it is

like poison this junk, but it was fast and cheap. We

saw alot of very huge Texans dining there at the

pizzaria, One gentleman blocked our exit from the

place because he was well on his way to an

early demise, 550 pounds I would guess.

In this place you would think it was "whoever

stacks his plate higher wins"

all are alowed to return to the trough as often as

desired. I think health and fitness, along with home

economics should be required courses for our little

obese young'uns. today in congress the house

passed a bill stopping people from suing fast food

restaurants. House Backs Ban on Obesity Lawsuits

screaming and cussing , and hitting a young

womans' car window, "I want you gone!

you 'f' in 'b' , You can tell your friends to

get the 'f' ' out too!!" Ro wanted to intervene,

I had to hold her back. I wouldn't have

Happy Holidays Shoppers! What holiday is it?

Well, When I was young I asked , "When is it

Kids Day?" The answer I got was "Everyday is

Kids Day". So today is Kids' Day.

I have been seeing alot of youngsters out

and about today, shopping for gifts for

their day, being fitted for outfits to wear

on this day of celebration, Eating thier

Happy Meals and candy and crap that

younguns' thrive on these days. I told Ro,

I don't think we celebrated Kids Day in

my family. We didn't have "fast food "

restaurants back in the days of old. If we

did have "junk food" It was a rare treat.

Mom would take us to have a "treat" at

the "Tastee-Freeze" for getting A's on a

report card. Now I think youngsters

eat ice cream and candy all day, every day.

Enjoy this Spring Break shoppers. Today

it was 82 degrees , 100 degrees Farenheight

in 1911, good ice cream weather, remember

home-made ice cream?, now that was a treat

I haven't had in a while. Adios -Mo

Well Shoppers get used to it. You will not be

seeing a cashier at your local grocers, and

you will be checking your own self in at

the airport. Read:Cashiers & Checkers

This is not new, but I am seeing it at more

and more stores. Less employees, could

mean greater opportunity for theft, which in

turn the stores make up with higher prices.

I had the choice of standing in line behind

alot of very full buggys, or self check-out,

the partial pound of coffee beans was a

problem for me (code on bag), then the

sale price on the smokey sausages wasn't

ringing up.I thought , I'll just delete the

sausages, not so easy , you have to wait

for approval. I know now, you really can't

shop anywhere on weekends if you are

wanting to get in and out quick.

With fewer employees does this mean

we are going to have to expect less service.

The job growth never happened, and this

could be a small part of it.

While very nearly experiencing "road rage"

yesterday, I realized I have to ride my bike

everyday. Well there was one road rage

incident on the bicycle trail, (I'll tell about that

another time)

Ro and I were in historic Charleston,

S.C. where they have horse and buggy tours.

I bet there was not a such thing as "road

rage" in the horse and buggy days. In my

own small way I want to go back in time.

I want to go back when there was not

stress and anger and traffic. I am going

to ride my bicycle everyday , and if I

need to go to the store.I will go by way

of bicycle. I see kids riding these motorized

scooters. motorized scooters

Reminds me of go-carts and

mini-bikes

Mini Bikes For Kids and Adults (Small Motorcycles)

when I was a kid. Nobody

would ever by me a mini-bike.

That's how I began to work earning money

for myself, throwing news-papers and mowing

lawns, I bought a Suzuki 50, Then I bought a

Honda 100, I drove that little Honda

every-where! it got 100 miles per

gallon! in a 2 gallon tank I think gas was 37

cents a gallon. It sure was fun reminiscing

with my old friend "Whiteboy" about

those old glory days.

I'll be on my bike today see ya on the

Trinity Trails maybe I'll save my money

for a motor-ized scooter- Mo Kellogs

I have not listened to "The Howard Stern Show" regularly, since I have a moratorium on commercial tv and radio. That my fellow bloggers is what should be bannished from the air. Commercials, are even more offensive and obscene. I don't have children, I am like Barney Fife always offering advice about children. I do not think children should watch commercial television, violent video games,or listen to commercial radio, period. There is enough for kids to do today, than to see a nearly nude "Tiffany Spears" , bump and grind on tv. Read this on the Clear channels censoring of Stern : Clearing The Air

The stress of daily life is unbearable. I don't mind waiting my turn after waiting, 2 cycles of the traffic light, then finally my turn, then someone has to go first . Always there is someone in a bigger hurry, that wants to butt in.I have to take more time to call , to let my next stop know, I am delayed in traffic. The only real way to deal with time delays is to give an eta - estimated time of arrival with a 3 hour window. I will be there between 12 noon and 3 pm. Oh how I miss the slow country life.
