Too young for Viagra?
By Jane E. Allen / Los Angeles Times
Ads for Viagra and similar products play to insecurities in men of all ages.
Saturday, January 31, 2004 (Star-Telegram)
"..among the ads for the super bowl are .. viagra etc.... the makers of 3 leading boner pills, just what every woman wants a gassy , face painted , drunken football fan , with a hard on coming after her." - "Real Time w/Bill Maher": on HBO

click here about ads for this super bowl:A Super Bowl Deficit
CBS is being accused of censoring an anti-Bush Super Bowl ad to curry favor with the White House and federal regulators. That seems unfair.

apple ad 1984Apple's '1984' Super Bowl commercial still stands as watershed ... - In 1984, the revolutionary Apple Macintosh was released, and launched in the most expensive television commercial ever made - The ad was based on George Orwell's novel 1984 and cost $600,000 (£360,000) to make, and a further $1,000,000 (£600,000) to show during the NFL Super Bowl in January 1984.

The impact of the ad was so great, and the recall so high, that it is considered to be one of the most cost-effective commercials ever made. It was shown only twice - the other occasion was on a small station in the US in December 1983.

It depicted an IBM world being overrun by a new machine - the Mac.

Well shoppers this is the big superbowl weekend, I reckon that explains all the crowded streets. Shoppers bustling off to the stores to buy more crap , and junk food to wolf down while guzzling beers looking at a bunch of millionaires chase a ball around. The advertisement dollars spent is incredible. Why? It works. Advertising sells. Is AOL the best ? the most popular yes , probably the worst internet service provider, but a very effective advertising campaign, those aol disks are everywhere, I used to have a drawer full. I once was an aol victim. I had so much spam mail, (most of it from aol), I couldn't keep in contact with anyone. I have been trying for weeks to email my sister . Cindy and Mike use AOL, I am told they can't quit, because it is now free. My neice Kayce probably won't be getting any of the emails I am sending because of the mailboxes of all accounts are jammed with spam. Why? it works!people are buying the junk , responding to the ads, male enhancement? men are convinced .. well  thats another story. Don't buy it shoppers! stay home watch "The Andy Griffith Show". Big balls in Cowtown

(Hoyle Nix)

(Big balls in cowtown, yeah)

Workin' on the railroad
Sleepin' on the ground
Eatin' saltine crackers
Ten cents a pound
Big Ball's in Cowtown
We'll all go down
Big Ball's in Cowtown
We'll dance around
(Ehhhh, come in momma, the hog's done got me)

(Mind if I sing one George)
I'll go to Cowtown
I'll dance around
Board up your windows
The big boy's in town
Big Ball's in Cowtown
We'll all go down
Big Ball's in Cowtown
We'll dance around

Put on your new shoes
Put on your gown
Shake off them sad blues
The Big Ball's in town
Big Ball's in Cowtown
We'll all go down
Big Ball's in Cowtown
We'll dance around
(Come on Ricky, fiddle down)

Everybody's smilin'
You can't find a frown
(Ah)
The girls are all happy
Cause the Big Ball's in town
(That's right)
Big Ball's in Cowtown
We'll all go down
Big Ball's in Cowtown
Yeah, yeah Big Ball's in town

I live in what is commonly known as "Cowtown" here in Fort Worth, Texas. The start of the Chisolm trail. This is where the West begins. We are a carniverous people, our bodies thrive on the protein of a diet of beef. We are not known as "soy-bean town" we eat meat here. I wanted to learn the guitar, so I got Chet Atkins book, it turned out to be about a diet, by a Dr. Robert Atkins. I read it and followed it, I trimmed down, somewhat, but was tired alot and had sweet cravings. Well the Dr. slipped on some ice and has died , but his diet has gained more and more in popularity, so beef is up white bread is down, good! read this:Trendy low-carb diets keeping beef in high demand, I think the old food pyramid is wrong,(bread and pasta at the bottom) here is the new pyramid:Low-Carb Pavilion - Food Pyramid for Fat People or Diabetics we should eat more cow and chicken and fish, I love it! all that crap they sell at convenience stores is no bueno, the sodas, juices, chips .. all crap . Go to 7-11 you can now get an apple or a banana, something impossible to find 10 years ago. I am going to celebrate the popularity of beef by having a steak this friday! MK

Yes I like Bill Maher's show "Real Time" ,on HBO. It is rare to hear anyone with an opinion speak up and be heard, without being censored. Bill said on last weeks show about the Michael Jackson thing: "There was one awkward moment at the Michael Jackson arraignment when the judge said to Michael, 'How do you plead?' And he said, 'I usually give them a cookie and say I'm lonely.' " Bill Maher  Watch tonight HBO2 10pm central http://www.hbo.com/billmaher/

Excellent advice. I'm taking it on this beautiful warm and sunny day. Encouraging articles in the paper on the Bay Area economy, especially in the technology sector. At last.

Ever watch Bill Maher's newest show? Every time I see it I think it's a Mitch kind of dialog with fair-mindedness, and all-important humor in the format.

Read this quote this morning from Joseph Shabala, founder of Ladysmith Black Mambazo. ( whose wife was murdered during the making of their recently released new album).

" When bad things happen...the only thing to do is raise your spirit higher".

  Happy Sunday

I found lots of women on the internet, dating a few in the past couple of years, until I found my girlfriend, I had looked on the personals. When does one meet someone to date? Introductions from friends? Meet at work? Pick-ups at bars?  What about this internet dating thing? It has become one of the most profitable services offered on the web. Read more here: Local couples make cyberspace connections You have to be wary of anyone you meet , Just harmless flirting , isn't as harmless as it seems with reverse phone look-ups , just a few clicks, one can have a map of your home, and an unwelcome guest could be at your door. A seemingly attractive gent can arrive unannounced, perhaps fresh out of prison.(I once got emails from a female convict writing by way of a relative, trying to hook-up, when she got out) Just be careful who you flirt with, you could be flirting with disaster. I bet there are internet dating horror stories out there.

What is all this about Dean's meltdown? The man was excited and enthused by a crowd of very energetic young voters. Hasn't anyone been to a rock concert , or pep rally? We need energy in the Democratic party. This is a very important and exciting time we have to unite to win! The interview, with Diane Sawyer Transcript: Howard Dean and Judy Dean Speak to ABCNEWS’ ... shows this man Howard Dean and his wife Judy as real. Is there any room in politics for genuine feelings. I am sick of phony politicians, and slick used car salesmen-like politics. Keep it real Dean! The Exuberance of Howard Dean (4 Letters)

I don't know what reason people are shopping, I know I was on a quest for a good cheap vcr, found one! tagged at $19.99, I offered 10 bucks,  my offer accepted, but  buyer beware. Ro found an entire wardrobe of fine ladies garments, for less than 40 dollars. Where? at the thrift store, this was the cleanest nicest , tidiest thrift store I have ever been in. Thanks Ro for showing me your favorite shopping places. P.S. The 10 dollar vcr works great. Now we can watch movies , seated and laying down. Ro come watch movies with me!

I wish I never would have sold my VCR at a yard sale this past summer. I am finding VCR tapes for 75 cents, and a very huge selection to rent for free at the public library (very few DVD's). I have a VCR in the boudoir (breakroom)but , watching tv lying down turns into other things, sleep, making love... I love it, but I never get to watch the film. I have to find a cheap VCR to put back in the front office. Not one of those giant ones that sold for over a thousand bucks in 1979. A compact VCR , that has Hi-Fi 4 heads, is no wider than 14 inches, thats it, exactly like the one I sold for 5 bucks! Oh well , Ce La Vie. Happy MLK Day you'all ! Adios MPK

Penile enlargers are 50% off at Eckerds on 7th Street. I didn't know you were so hardcore into that . Any way I guess we are entitled to one vice ( Ha - Ha Suzette)

This semester will be great Im taking figure painting, photography, college algebra and Practice of the arts. It's a great load I have a good feeling about this. I didnt know that Wedding Planning is a big pain in the ass. I went with my familia to try on dresses and for sure the frou, frou is not my style, although my aunt and mom loved it. I want something nontraditional like a party dress or my own design. Im also compiling a list of whom to invite I want to keep it small.

Brian rented the SIMS for Xbox and it's harder than the computer version but I like it. I find that its hypnotizing I absolutely don't want to be bothered when I play. Jaimito lets me know that he is ignored after he pulls me away from it too. For instance I have Algebra review that I need to do but I hear the little voices of those graphic people. It's a good thing it goes back to blockbuster on Sunday.

Robin, what is your lifestyle like in SF? Do you go out to the club every weekend, shop?

Till I can gain control again
(Rodney Crowell)

Just like the sun over the mountain top
You know i'll always come again
You know i love to spend my morning time
Like sunlight dancing on your skin
I've never gone so wrong as to telling lies to you
What you've seen is what I've been
There is nothing I could hide from you
You see me better than I can
Out on the road that lies before me now
There are some turns where I will spin
I only hope that you can hold me now
Till i can gain control again

Like a lighthouse you must stand alone
Landmark the sailor's journeys end
No matter what sea I've have been sailing on
I'll always roll this way again
Out on the road that lies before me now
There are some turns where I will spin
I only hope that you can hold me now

The only guy I ever met on the up and up, was a one way elevater operater. -- Granpa Kellogs.  I Had to take the day off for truck repairs, I had transmission fluid leaking slightly on my driveway. Then after paying a mechanic $450 to fix it. Not only was the leak not repaired, but began to leak profusely all over my driveway. Then today an additional charge of $140 was put on the table. Ro objected loudly and insisted the additional charge was bogus. So the shop dropped the charges, allowing us to leave without any charge. The moral of the story always object to any bill that does not seem fair. More and more businesses are slipping bills in ,making charges that are not correct. How many just get automatically paid without question? Thank you Ro
