Greetings shoppers! Today's newspaper is packed full of ads for Christmas gifts. Tis the season to shop, shop, shop.It's doubtful, that we will purchase any of the toys advertised this year. It really is a fantasic bargain, if you don't buy it period.We are looking to outfit our new garage/gym with excersize equipment. We will have a fine gym, to help keep off the old Texas beer belly. Cancelling gym membership, cancel netflix, get free movies at the library, that we never have time to watch. Go out to eat no more than once per week. Stay home read , sleep, make love.MK

Try this recipe on a cold day , eat this on everything, with corn tortilla chips too!

Watersprites’Own Salsa

Ingredients: one industrial size can of whole tomatoes, or 8 – 14.5 oz cans,

One to one and a half pounds fresh whole jalapeno peppers,

One small bunch fresh cilantro,one medium onion,

Eight large cloves garlic,eight tablespoons salt, eight cups water,

One eighth cup canola oil.

Cut peppers in half, remove stems, cook in oil , till almost done,

Add onion, then add garlic, stir constantly,

Add tomatoes, salt and water,

Cook 3 hours, Add cut up Cilantro.,

Cool, pulse blend, to maintain a nice texture and color,

Put up in jars, using canning methods, or refridgerate.MK

At this hour 40 years ago, I was seated in 2nd grade class room , an announcement was made that school was being dismissed as the president of the United States had just been shot dead. One boy Brad began to cry, The teacher told us what a terrible thing had happened. The television was constantly showing the reports of the assasination, then muder of Lee Harvey Oswald, and then the funeral of the president. I am now watching on the Histiory channel many of the same news, and new reports to support evidence of another gunman. It's amaizing the power of our government to cover up and silence information. What other lies have we Americans been told?

Seen on a busy street in Fort Worth, recently, a blind lady talking on her cell phone , walking, talking, tapping her white cane along the side of the street to the intersection. I see students walking, talking, shoppers talking as they shop. It is a growing trend, endless conversation. I prefer not to talk at all, on my mobile phone, I can't hear clearly, it is extremely unsafe to talk and drive. If someone calls me, on my mobile, I hope its not terribly important, I can't hear , or remember most conversations.I tell people if they hear a crashing sound, as I speak, it's me having a major vehicle crash. I have 2000 anytime minutes, I use about 30. I love having a mobile phone, for emergencies and for important business appointments, etc. I think one day we will have a computer chip, installed in our brains to communicate. You would just have to think of a person to call and voilla , you could speak to them. You would just rotate your head in a certain way, tap your feet this way and that  to "dial" long distance, I "think" I'll call mom would be a new dance.

I am sick of it , how many times is this stupid song played for a dedication? I am tired of , some other highly sickening stars , Michael Jackson, Madonna. Today, Tiffany Spears, gets a star on the Hollywood walk of fame, (I wonder, what other non deserving celebrities have made that walk?) Mickey Mouse, turns 75 today, that's another over-rated American icon.Has anyone ever laughed at a Mickey Mouse cartoon?, or even seen one? somewhere "the birthday song" plays for Mickey MK

Why are tongue studs so popular, to teenagers? To take your focus off of their pimples?belly rings, eyebrow peircings, nipple and even "down below". I don't know if I've ever seen a tattoo that I've ever liked either.Think back on the styles 30 years ago,remember?(watch "that 70's show")Now, clothing featuring logos, "Nike"and store names ,"Old Navy" and names of gay fashion designers.We will have alot to make fun of 30 years from now. Speaking of noise, Is it my imagination. or is commercial television getting louder and more intrusive? Commercial tv and radio is a completely unpleasant experience for me with the shouting screaming car ads for example. I can't stand the "Joes Crab Shack" ads the screaming wild out of control party mood that is potrayed is not how I would want to have a seafood dinner. I might go there with a bunch of brats , if I was forced to, but not to dine on fresh lobster and shrimp. A place like that makes you want to gobble up yer grub and get the hell out quick. Thats what americans want I guess go go go hurry , no time . Well take time my fellow shoppers, take time , make dinner at home play some soft, commercial free music and take time. see ya, MK

the heat is on again in Ne Texas, get out the shorts, short sleaves, open shoes. We will have hot until Xmas , or at least 75 degree days. Mow your grass, trim your shrubs, edge the lawn. The noise of summer continues. I want to begin a lawn maintenance service , "Grandpas Quiet time, Lawn service" No weed eaters, mowers, edgers, blowers. What is with all these blowers, everywhere? poluting the environment. What did we use before?, a rake? a broom? Noise pollution, has  become out of control. I saw yard crews mowing, blowing edging, in the driving rain this past saturday. What a waste. The tranquility of a beautiful $500,000 estate desrtoyed by these obnoxious noisy crews. Summer continues, I look forward to quiet winter days. MK

Green light, one thousand one, one thousand two, one thousand three, one thosand four. That's at least the time it takes the  vehicle to begin moving  in front of you .. Sometimes 5 to 6 seconds, the drivers in the city these days wait to let all the drivers running the traffic light go, then they proceed with caution. If you notice longer delays look at the driver holding a small device, next to their ear, lost in conversation, oblivious to the outside world and to the task at hand, driving a motor vehicle. If you honk to alert them , you have to hope , a road- rage incident doesn't begin . Now with FCC regulations allowing home telephone numbers to be transfered to cellphones, almost everyone will be talking, and driving , ignorant to all that is happening on the road. We at Kellogs support legislation banning the use of cellphones, while driving. no conversation period , "Shut up and drive!" Write a blog, email, talk with her tonight at dinner, O.K. MK

Watersprites' Own

Deluxe hot roasted trail mixed nuts.

1 lb each of raw filberts(hazel) nuts ,raw almonds,raw cashews,raw peanuts, raw pecans, 2 lbs raw macadamia nuts, one half lb. raisins, one half lb. semi-sweet chocolate chips. butter flavored cooking spray, Tony Chachere's salt-free seasoning . Mix the nuts in a big bowl or bag .Roast the raw nuts, 2 cups at a time, preheat 350 degree oven ,spray cookie sheet, with butter flavored cooking spray, bake for no less than 12 minutes, no more. sprinkle lightly with salt- substitute.Cool completely, in the refridgerater. 1.5 hours, mix in raisins and chocolate chips. The perfect snack, and the best way to warm up a chilly, rainy day. Wholesome, Healthy, Hearty, Hale Try it! MK

"1-800-555-POOP , doggie poop scooper service, we are No. 1 in No, 2 " A bus bench sign seen in Fort Worth, recently. I think it is an excellent idea, for the dog owner, who just can't seem to get their **** together , I thought I have seen it all , now you just have to call a service to clean up after the dog. Everyone in town needs this along with yard service and pool service , I even hear they spray a perfumed freshener on the lawn to boot! I might have to think about diversifing the pool service to include this, after all , on the caller id our phone no. reads "Watersprite Poo" .  MK

Cold weather has finally arrived in NE Texas. With 30 degree temperature drops and drizzling rain , we now enter the fall/winter pool season. "The best part of waking up... " Nothing better than a hot cup of real fresh coffee in the morning. I had in the early 80's worked with a freshly roasted office coffee service on the east coast. I know fresh roasted coffee, I drink it black and often. In mid December , the only fresh roasted coffee beans store in Fort Worth, is going out of business, "The Noble Bean", I would love to purchase this business, and do battle with the 3 nearby "Starbucks", It would take a whole lotta spending money, and a whole lotta precious time. I just read in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, that there are 13 Starbucks stores in Fort Worth. It is an attestment to the thriving economy of our "Cowtown" , that so many people are willing to pay more than $2 for a cuppa coffee, and or milkshakes. At my barbers, 2 young women (late teens or early 20s), were discussing a favorite beverage, at SBucks. I asked what they liked about it, it was creamy and smooth, and no (yuk) coffee in it! Thats what those stores are real smooth, no real coffee. I'll drink it in a pinch, until I find a new supplier, but I'll miss "The Noble Bean" .

I like a late night sweet treat sometimes, and  so I came up with a recipe  that was sooo goood , it'll make you slap yer grandma. You take a plank of cinnamon graham cracker, spread with softened natural peanut butter, melt some dark chocolate chips, in a double boiler, (you can use a bowl on top of a pot of boiling water) spread the chocolate on top of the peanut butter and graham cracker, and look-out grandma.

Those old time answering machines, get accidently erased.Multiple phone users delete important messages. Children , especially teenagers, WILL NOT "Tell Momma", or relay messages. Email, can get deleted, along with the penis enlargement, and refinance junk.`No one can say ("I didn't get your message"), with Web Log (Blogging)Email, by far is the preffered method of communication, for me. I will not answer my mobile phone, while driving, and I don't like to use it for longer than 2 minutes. It will usually drop, or breakup, during important conversation. I don't like to call people during "the dinner hour" (remember those annoying tele-marketers?). You can read and answer email, at your convenience, email read, by you alone , password protected. Now, with Blogging, you can have an online dialog with any and everyone you choose. The Instant Message feature is something I will soon get into, Motime, stands for MOre Than Instant MEssaging, so Motime Me! If you got the time.Write a Blog!,write anything in the area above the blue, (see the edit buttons, to change size, color etc.) write something ,everyone can read, by clicking the button, or click comments, for a private message . Going to be another hot day in NE Texas, November and 85 plus , heat index of 100. Ready for some cool weather. I like mornings for that reason , mostly, and there is a peacefulness, in the am. More and more , the buzz of yard equipment, the blowers , the trimmers. the edgers, lawn mowers, breaking the silence. I wonder what yards were like in 1850. Dirt? I think with natural shrubs and plants
