Today is Independence Day, July 4 2008.

What is this day about anyway? Let's remember

that this country is about peace, freedom, truth

and justice. Is America a free country ?,

Are we a nation protected by our constitution?

We are ruled by a criminal government,

led by George Bush and Dick Cheney.

Our leaders lied to the world and people are killed daily,

as nothing is being done. Over one million people

dead and over 4,000 dead American soldiers

Fight for truth and justice on this day.

We went on our first city bus ride together today.
Joe and I went aboard crosstown city bus 25 to
the Hulen Mall. We have walked our 2 miles
in the park and another 2 miles to the bus and
around the mall. Joe seemed to enjoy the bumpy
ride and had a "conversation with another baby
passenger. This is a fun and cheap way to travel.
You can't be in a hurry and you have to love stopping
and going and lots of bumps in the road.
Joe and I are going to go on many more bus rides.

Today my baby boy and I went to Fast Signs to
get a new truck sign to advertise the pool business,
Baby Joe is extremely loved and adored especially
by Candy and Laura. They were even checking out
his baby boy butt in his Levis.
Women and girls cross the street to touch and
talk to my son.
The other day at the mall, I heard "Joe, Joe !"
Hi Joe! I thought maybe someone else named Joe,
is being recognized. No, I was surprised a waitress,
from "Rise and Shine" restaurant came up to Joe and
talked with him and he of course smiles huge smiles
and his blue eyes sparkle, his legs and arms move
excitedly. My Joe is always fun to take anywhere.
We now walk 2 to 3 miles per day. The Texas heat is
nasty and under code orange pollution, so we walk the
mall. Business is good and overwhelming most of
the time, The only joy I have anymore is with my wife
 and with Joe.

Today my wife and baby Joe and I went to our favorite
breakfast restaurante, "Rise and Shine" .
A small diner off of Alta Mesa Avenue. This is the best
place to eat breakfast without a shadow of doubt.
The best  custom omelettes ,and coffee and a vegan
menu to boot.
As soon as we enter Joe is taken
from our arms and he is smiling and chirping as he
is fussed over and loved by four or more women
of the wait staff.
We met our friends Blanca and Holly.
It is great to chat and have breakfast with friends.
Our Joe is extremely happy and friendly.
He wakes up smiling and he "laughs" often
My son Joe is going to live to be a very healthy old man.
For his Dada ,the  stress and anxiety is there everyday.
As I go through this world of high speed road rage,
I find peace and sweet harmony in the bosom of my
little family. I want to learn  to laugh and
keep on smiling.
Go out to eat  every week and have fun!

I have a lot to learn from my son Joe

Time was.. That could be my new sub-title.

The heat and humidity is unbearable.

I had certain high anxiety attack symtoms.

Much better now. I have plans to sub-contract,

the pool business. The start of all this I will

explain later. My baby boy is asleep and

quite well. I am happy to have a perfect litlle baby.

Sleep is best for me now.

The Texas heat wave is on!

Yes it is early. I woke up 2 days ago,

a pool of sweat victim of the heat wave.

I am dying and my death will be a result of

heat and humidity. The ringing in my ears is

deafening.  Aches , pains, yowee.

We have our hot tub running.

Yes I said "hot tub" This is the

best way to relax and cool down and de-stress.

Business is at the penicle of stress and anxiety.

The good news is! Our baby boy is almost free of

cold symptoms. He is eating and happier than ever!

Yesterday our little Champ stold his first kiss!

I took him to the park as always. I saw our neighbor

with her kids. I put Joe in his "walking wings" and

he came right up to "Marisa" and hugged and gave

her the wettest kiss on her cheek.

Joe, 8 months old has kissed a 10 month

old baby girl!

He has me beat, I kissed a girl at 5 years old.

She can now say she has been kissed , and by the best!

Our lives are ever so much painful and stressful.

This baby boy is going to add 30 years to my life,

at least! .....Pics coming soon.

Work is back for the pool season.

Amazingly all pool customers wait to

get ready for spring at the same time.

Now, the phone is ringing. I hate the phone.

I am trying to figure a way to never speak into a

telephone again ever. Email? No not yet,

the prefered method of communication.

Intant messaging while driving... It's the new

 way of talking. "Everybodys talikng..

Buddy let your mind grow long.."

I get short naps sometimes,

when baby Joe is asleep.

and all the time the phone wakes the whole house.

Why do people lie, when asked, Did I wake you?

and  people say "Oh not at all , I've been up for hours!"

I  am still getting over a cold and my wife is sick and

our son is getting well.  We sleep when we can.

Tele-marketers are baaaack! I hate these imbeciles

that call and bug, and try to sell some stupid bullshit.

Work tomorrow when it is not raining. Here it pours,

in the spring and winds are strong.

Baby Joe is finally getting over a cold.
This is his first and I hope last.
I know kids are constantly sick and
not much can be done to avoid illness.
Our baby boy has not ate normally in 9 days.
He coughs and spews up any food or milk,
that we feed him.
It  pains me to see him hack and cough.
If our son has needed constant attention,
he has had it for certain during this cold.
I will remember these days every time we go in
public. I will wipe down and sanitize any thing
he touches. We are through the worst of it now.
Joe and I will resume our walks again tomorrow.

Joe goes to South Carolina
We finally got out to old S.C. to introduce our
Little Champ to his S.C. kinfolks. We had a great
time and the 5 day visit went too fast.
We did get to see Middleton Gardens and Plantation.

Today we had a long drive to the country.
My wife, infant son and I  traveled  through a
nest of  Christian, right wing Republicans
living in a place in N.E. Texas called "Paradise".
Graveyards of rusted automobiles and
miles of trailers and some actual human
graves lined our roadway, far deep into
what was once farm and cattle country.
We saw churches, some across the road
from each other. Baptist churches, Sprawl-mart
stores. Paint and body shops, statues and
monuments sold by the roadside.
Many people here are searching for the
American dream. Average Texans living
on police, or service industry wages find
cheap land and build nice modern houses
far far away from any city.
We saw huge pickup trucks averaging
7 mpg on the many miles of 2 lane blacktop.
I wonder how much and how fast things
will change when fuel is $4 per gallon.
We did find a bargain way out in the
country. We finally bought a hot tub a steal
at $750. My wifes birthday present, we both will
enjoy. This long long trip was worth it . It is
an education to see how the world lives
in the U.S.A.

Not much walking since Monday.

We have had colds with flu-like

symptoms. My wife and son have not

had it as bad as I. Mostly colds last

7 days or more. Feeling much better

and the outdoor temperature is above

70 during the day. We have a lot of

work to catch up on before baby Joe's

first trip to S.C. Get out and walk, I feel

better for it. I can remember being a heavy

smoker nearly 10 years ago. A cold would last

months and a cough would be a part of life.

I had nothing against pot smoking, other

than it being highly illegal. I knew people who

smoked pot often, several times day and night.

I could not imagine holding in a lung full of any

smoke without coughing violently. I am happy

my wife does not smoke and drinks very little.

We mostly drink daily a glass of wine.

My wife likes Agave_Wine We are not in the habit

of heavy drinking. The only thing we really have

to work on is heavy eating.

Think of food and how much and how often.

Think of a baby and his primitive need to eat every

2 hours. So healthy snacks seem to work  for me,

to try to prevent eating huge meals.

We rarely have meat in the house, I never eat meat.

Meat is unhealthy and contains hormones,

anti-biotics, nitrites and more. If you can eat a cow

off of your own land, I might feel differently about meat.

The impact on the environment, should be of greatest

concern. Go vegan! Every meal eat vegan, try it, you can do it!

Walk, walk, walk as if your life depends on it. It does.

Today we walked 2 miles in the park.

We walked 3.5 miles yesterday.

The best times to walk are when shoppers are

not going and coming from school or work.

I talk to and sing to my baby boy in his stroller

as we walk. We talk to anyone we can as

we stroll along. My son is extremely popular

at the mall. I have mostly women commenting

how cute our champ is. We are for certain proud

parents. We talk everyday about our future plans

with our baby boy. One day soon we are playing

tennis, we plan on our son becoming a tennis champ.

We don't like video games or tv in general for kids.

So we plan on having an active outdoor life. Today

being outside was easy. Temps were near 90 degrees

here in Northeast Texas. Wow! had the a.c.on for the

first time. More walking tomorrow at the mall.

Politics is of  great interest to me,
and my wife.  Now more than ever in
this election year of 2008
The news of scandals and money and sex
with lobbyists can only happen here.

You have to look at John McCain and wonder where
did you see this old geezer before? I think he looks like
Wilbur Finch the shoe salesman from the Andy Griffith Show. From the show Those Gossipin' Men

Here is what  David Letterman said.
from The Week's Best Late-Night Jokes

"How about that John McCain, though? He looks like the guy in front of you at the movies whose wife has to repeat everything, doesn't he a little bit? He looks like the guy who backed over his own mailbox. He looks like the guy whose sweater is always misbuttoned - you know that guy? He looks like the guy that always tells you he's 72 years young. He looks like the guy who's bragged that oatmeal has lowered his cholesterol." --David Letterman (Read more of Letterman's McCain riffs)

Who does McCain look like to you? Capt.Queeg ? or how about  Boo_Radley ?
